Karen Jacoda interviewed Leyden Labs' CEO, Koenraad Wiedhaup for the Empowered Patient Podcast. Karen highlights latest innovations in healthcare, pharma and biotech and changing dynamics between patients and physicians in her podcast. During this interview, Karen and Koenraad spoke about Leyden Labs' proactive approach toward viral threats. Instead of eliminating viruses one by one, we are developing broad protection - tackling entire virusfamilies, such as influenza or coronaviruses, at once.
Leyden Labs is working on simple, easy-to-use nasal sprays that do not need a healthcare professional to administer the spray. Self-administration has multiple benefits: it provides people with the autonomy to decide for themselves when and where they want (additional) protection. Moreover, a rollout will be much easier than we experienced with e.g. the COVID-19 vaccines, especially in remote areas with limited healthcare professionals available.
